Etsy: All things handmade

by Rachel McFadden on October 25, 2009

Buy Handmade, etsyEtsy

I you haven’t checked out the Etsy website, you don’t know what you are missing!  I first heard about Etsy from a friend who was making her own jewelry and set up a shop.  She asked me to set up an account and join her shop.  I have since been hooked!

Pregnant at the time, I began browsing the site for handmade items for my new baby.  I soon realized how wonderful this site actually is.  If there is anything you need, chances are that there is a WAHM selling it on Etsy.

The most wonderful part about the items for sale is that you can actually afford them!  Shopping on Esty is like having a beautiful boutique at your fingertips.  Each seller you purchase from is truly passionate about the items that they sell.  Each time I have purchased items for my son on Etsy the women I have bought them from have been very kind and quick to respond to any questions I had.

Next time you are looking for a new outfit for your baby, or a gift for a friend’s baby shower be sure to support Etsy and the people behind the products who put their own TLC into each handmade item.

Love your blog! And I love Etsy too. The things you can buy there are sometimes stunning yet almost always fairly priced, and I think the concept behind it is so positive–helping crafty people have access to supporting themselves is a great thing for everyone.
