*CLOSED* costoreUSA Wool Wash Review & Gift Certificate Giveaway!

Lyne, from EcostoreUSA was nice enough to send me some of their wool wash to review.  When I opened the box I received the box in the mail I was immediately disappointed.  I saw a box full of packing peanuts!  I thought for sure that a store with the name “Ecostore” would not use packing peanuts when they ship their items.

To my relief, I found a note inside the box, the note said: ALL PACKING PRODUCTS USED FOR THIS SHIPMENT ANRE ENVIRONMENTALLY FRIENDLY, THE PACKING PEANUTS ARE MADE OUT OF SOY, THE NEWS PRINT, PACKING TAPE AND EVEN THE BOX ARE ALL MADE OUT OF RECYCLEABLE PAPER, AS WELL AS THE PAPER THIS NOTE IS PRINTED ON.  Phewww, this immediately cheered me up.  I find that too often companies ship their items with loads of plastic waste.

Now, as for the product, this wool wash is a very gentle and mild formula.  Eco Store uses plant-based ingredients to create the wash that are environmentally formulated to be used in either hot or cold water.  This wool wash is a healthy and safe alternative to traditional wool cleaners, and is wonderful for the planet too.

The simple, natural ingredients used are:

• Anionic and non-ionic surfactants (from glucose and coconut oil)
• Plant based alcohol and solvents
• Citric acid
• Water

I tested the wool wash out on some wool diapers that I washed by hand.  I added 1 teaspoon of the wool wash to a bucket of water, with my lanolin (of course).  The wool was gentle cleaned my diapers and left them smelling very fresh!  I also tested the wool wash out in the regular laundry.  I used approximately 2 tablespoons of the concentrated liquid in the washing machine for my baby’s clothes.  The clothes came out clean and fresh, even with such a small amount of the liquid added to the load.
